About
Emily Rose Doud
Photographer. Visual storyteller. Wisconsin-based and always chasing good light.
My Story
I'm Emily — a photographer based in Wisconsin with a background in journalism, communication, and storytelling. I came to photography through my love of documenting real life: the honest moments, the details people overlook, the light that only stays for a second.
My work has a warm, botanical quality — natural light, genuine expressions, and intentional composition. Whether I'm shooting a senior portrait in a sun-drenched field, a family in their backyard, or the rolling hills of Wisconsin at golden hour, I bring the same care and attention to every frame.
Before diving deeper into photography as a profession, I spent years working in fast-paced environments where communication and storytelling were central — from reporting local news under tight deadlines to managing operations and connecting with people from all walks of life. That background shapes how I approach every session: with curiosity, presence, and a commitment to making you feel at ease.
The studio comes to you. I work on location — your home, a park, a meaningful place — so your photos feel like you, not a backdrop.
My Approach
Soft, warm, and honest. Whenever possible I work with the available light to keep the feel of a moment intact.
No studio backdrop. I come to you — your home, a favorite park, a place that means something — so the setting feels real.
Every shoot starts with a conversation. I want to know what you're hoping to capture before we pick a location or a date.
